Thoughts on blm
Blm as an idiom is self-evident. Of course black lives matter, right? No one actually thinks black lives matter less than white lives. Not sure why you'd ever have to choose anyway, but the overwhelming vast majority extend equal value to all human lives. So the idiom is obvious.. but I disagree with many major points in the social analysis and the proposed solutions that the blm movement and organization present. •I do not believe in equity (equality of outcome) over equality (equality of opportunity... in so far as we respect freedom of choice and do not task government to interfere by squelching opportunities gained by the statistically better off) ---To a degree, obviously black people have inherited things of the American cultural and material past. And it is true, yet superficial to point out, that blacks are under-represented in many respects.
